Alberta Ferretti is an Italian fashion designer. The daughter of a dressmaker, Ferretti was born in Cattolica, Italy and spent her early childhood accompanying her mother in the atelier.

Aged eighteen, Ferretti opened the fashion boutique Jolly in her hometown, selling her own designs alongside established labels, such as Versace and Giorgio Armani.

In 1976 Ferretti partnered with her brother Massimo to co-found the clothing manufacturer and distributor Aeffe, which today produces clothing for many of the world's luxury clothing brands.

Ferretti launched her eponymous collection on the Milan catwalk in 1981. Three years later the  diffusion label Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti was born. Ferretti's collections typically feature intricate beading and embroidery on artfully draped dresses in a delicate and feminine palette.
