Amit Pitaru

Multimedia Designer

Amit Pitaru is an interaction designer, coder and educator from New York. He co-founded School For Poetic Computation in 2012 and Kitchen Table Coders in 2011. He was formerly a recording artist and now combines his passion of music and the visual image to create art via the web. He previously held the position as the Designer and Prototyping Lead at FiftyThree, Inc. from 2012-2016. Pitaru has worked with technical and creative teams from EMI Music, Sony, IBM and MTV.

He has exhibited work at the Design Museum (London), Centre Pompidou (Paris), Lincoln Center (USA), Israel National Museum, Sundance Film Festival, and Seoul Metropolitan Museum of Art. From 2013-2014, Amit Pitaru also educated in coupling of technology and creative thought process at New York University's ITP and Cooper Union's Arts department.
