Brooke Taylor (a.k.a. Pete Taylor) is a writer, image-maker and fashion house founder who lives and works in London. A philosophy graduate who studied under Jacques Derrida protégé Richard Beardsworth, he has written stories, essays and journalism for Purple, Big, Colors, Dune, Little More, Ryuko Tsushin, Paris Atlantic among others and has modelled for i-D, Black Book, The Independent, Sleazenation, Arena, Arena Homme, Holland Esquire, Margaret Howell and American Apparel.

A long-term collaboration with photographer Anders Edstrom resulted in exhibitions in Paris, New York and Tokyo and an unpublished Lynchian epic on the American road entitled Tiresias and the Belly Button Thieves.
In July 2005, inspired by the work of Alexander McQueen, Mayakovsky and Rodchenko, Peter Ackroyd and Marinetti, Taylor formed the company Mayrod Limited with designer Nana Aganovich, to launch the Whitechapel-based womenswear label Aganovich.
