Clements Ribeiro

Fashion Designer

Clements Ribeiro is a fashion house established in the early nineties. Husband-and-wife duo Inacio Ribeiro and Suzanne Clements met at London's Central Saint Martins, with both graduating with first class honours degrees in 1991. After a brief stint in Brazil, they returned to London to set up their namesake label, Clements Ribeiro. In 2000, they agreed to take over Cacharel in Paris, doing so to great critical acclaim. In 2007, the pair decided to relaunch their own label, which today is known for its femininity and bold use of print and wool. They have collaborated with brand such as Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo and Christian Louboutin, as well as high-street chains Dorothy Perkins and John Lewis.

Clements Ribeiro is best known for its eclectic combinations, such as of bold multicoloured prints and historical references. The brand became particularly popular during the early 2000s BritPop/Cool Britannia era. Since 2008, the brand has focused on upcycling projects and maintains a specialism in knitwear.
