Craig Armstrong is a musician who studied Composition and Piano at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Armstrong has composed several concert works including ‘When Morning Turns to Light’ for The Royal Scottish National Orchestra and ‘Visconti’ which was commissioned by the Stockhausen Festival and was performed at the Barbican by the London Sinfonietta. He has also written for films such as Baz Luhrmann’s ‘Moulin Rouge’ and theatre productions including ‘The Tempest’ which was performed at The Roundhouse Theatre in 2004. Armstrong has released four solo albums including ‘The Space Between Us’ and most recently ‘Film Works 1990-2005', which gained widespread critical acclaim and was Grammy nominated in December 2005.
