Dylan Jones

Dylan Jones OBE is a journalist and editor. Jones was the editor of British GQ from 1999-2021. 

Jones studied design and photography at Chelsea School of Art and Central Saint Martins before becoming the editor of i-D magazine in 1984. He has since been an editor at The FaceArenaThe Observer and The Sunday Times. Jones won the Editor of the Year award for his work on Arena in 1993.  

He has authored numerous publications, including a bestselling biography of Jim Morrison, entitled Dark Star, in 1990; Mr Jones Rules: How To Be A Modern Man in 2008; and The Biographical Dictionary of Popular Music in 2012.  

Jones is vice president of Hay Festival, and chair of the British Fashion Council Menswear Committee.
