Grace Wales Bonner

Grace Wales Bonner is a British menswear designer, and founder of the label Wales Bonner. She graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2014 and won the L’Oréal Professionnel Talent Award for her collection Afrique. Wales Bonner showed her first season at London Collections: Men with Fashion East in 2015, and is one of the youngest designers to showcase at the V&A’s Fashion in Motion programme. Wales Bonner’s references are rooted in black visual culture, and her designs explore cross-cultural hybridity and entangled notions of European and African luxury.

In January 2019, Grace Wales Bonner presented her first institutional art exhibition, A Time for New Dreams, at London's Serpentine Gallery. She is an associate lecturer at Central Saint Martins in London and has lectured at Parsons School of Design in New York.
