Husam El Odeh

Husam El Odeh is a jewellery designer and artist living and working in London. German-born El Odeh studied fine art at the Hochschule der Kuenste in Berlin and continued to work as an artist in Germany’s capital, before relocating to London in 1999, where he began to make jewellery.

In February 2005, prior to his Summer graduation from Middlesex University, El Odeh was chosen by Fashion East to stage a show during London Fashion Week; following graduation he was awarded sponsorship by the British Fashion Council’s New Generation scheme and has since received sponsorship a further three times. El Odeh also won the 2008 international So Fresh Award for cutting edge accessory design.

El Odeh has worked with fashion designers including Siv Stoldal, Ann-Sofie Back and Mihara Yasuhiro. From 2005, El Odeh worked with Marios Schwab on varied projects and also created jewellery for each of his collections. A/W 20 saw him create pencil crown headpieces for his partner, designer Per Götesson's menswear catwalk show. He has also been involved in various projects with Topman, Topshop, and Kickers. El Odeh was the recipient of the 2010 British Fashion Award for Emerging Accessories Designer and has been teaching jewellery in the fashion context to the next generation of designers at LFC since 2016.

The designer's work has featured in magazines including Italian Vogue, i-D, Dazed & Confused, and Another Magazine.
