Filmmaker

Jason Bradbury is a filmmaker based in London, making narrative shorts, music promos and fashion film.

In 2009 Bradbury won the Daily Motion Prize at ASVOFF (with co-director Claire Kurylowski) for Harald Lunde Helgesen's fashion film HLH:2509BC. Since then he has frequently returned to the medium of fashion film to explore ideas and experiment with narrative. His short film We Once Were Tide played internationally at film festivals after its premiere at BFI Southbank and his subsequent shorts have played at London Short Film Festival, whilst his fashion films were recently screened at the Design Museum London.

Bradbury has also collaborated with a variety of creatives. He commissioned video art pieces for Fringe Film and edited and created the soundtrack for Chris Sutton’s SHOWstudio Punk film.

His work, which often explores the themes of home, memory and the search for belonging for LGBTIQ+ people, has screened at festivals internationally and been seen by over 16 million people online. In 2020, he was one of six emerging filmmakers to be selected for the BFI Flare x BAFTA Crew Mentoring Programme 2020.

In addition to his work as a director, Bradbury previously worked for five years at Peccadillo Pictures, playing a key role in the release of films such as Weekend, Beauty, Tomboy and Stranger By The Lake, and currently runs trailer editing company Hello Mozart.
