Judith Watt is the author of Alexander McQueen: Fashion Visionary and Vogue On: Elsa Schiaparelli, published in autumn 2012 by Goodman Books and Quadrille respectively. Her other books include Ossie Clark, 1965-1974 (V&A Publications 2003), The Penguin Book of Twentieth Century Fashion Writing (Penguin, 1999) and Dogs in Vogue (Little, Brown 2009). She took an MA in the History of Dress at the Courtauld Institute of Art and has taught the history of fashion to Fashion Communication and Promotion BA students at Central Saint Martins since 1998. She is a contributor to Vogue and Acne Paper, and comments on fashion and its history for radio and television. In 2012 she contributed a chapter on fashion and ‘glam’ – c.1968-1975 – for Tate Liverpool’s ‘Glam: The Performance of Style’ exhbition.
