Kay Barron is a fashion director living and working in London. Following her graduation from Central Saint Martins, she became staff writer at The Face magazine. Following the magazine's closure, Barron founded the short-lived but lauded fashion tabloid Rag, and wrote regularly for Vogue, the Independent, Financial Times, Telegraph, Observer and Acne Paper, as well as consulting for Acne Jeans, French Connection and adidas. Barron was appointed fashion news editor of Grazia UK in 2008. She was appointed fashion features editor of Harper's Bazaar UK in 2012.

She joined Net-a-Porter as Fashion Features Director in 2013, becoming Fashion Director of Porter magazine in 2018, and then Fashion Director of Net-a-Porter in 2019.
