Liz Johnston Artur

Photographer

Born Russian-Ghanian and raised in Germany, Liz Johnston Artur is a photographer who lives and works in London. Having worked for a diverse range of fashion, music and design clients, her editorial has included shoots for The Face, i-D, Arena Hommes Plus and Tokion, as well as her own blog, lizjohnson-artur.blogspot.com. Johnston Artur was also awarded The Sunday Times prize for Reportage. Outside of commercial photography, she has an extensive artistic photographic practice.

Her monograph with Bierke Verlag was included in the Best Photo Books 2016 list of The New York Times. Johnston Artur's work has been widely exhibited, with her first solo exhibition, at the Brooklyn Museum in New York in 2019.
