Louise Amstrup is a fashion designer based in London. Born in Denmark, Amstrup grew up in Germany and later returned to Duesseldorf to complete her studies. In 2003 she graduated from Akadamie Mode Design, where she was awarded the Graduate Talent prize. After completing her studies Amstrup went onto work with a variety of designers including Alexander McQueen, Jonathan Saunders, Alistair Carr and Sophia Kokosalaki before establishing her label in 2006. Amstrup aims to dress women in contemporary garments and promote individuality. For A/W 2008, Amstrup cited David Lynch and Man Ray as figures of inspiration.
