Before joining British Vogue, Smart interned at Harper's Bazaar US and Teen Vogue in New York and assisted stylists Jane How, Joe McKenna and Elliot Smedley in London. She began working for ELLE in 2009, Harper's Bazaar in 2010 and started at BritishVogue in 2012.
