Natalie Gibson MBE has taught at Central Saint Martins since 1964, and she founded and headed the BA Fashion Print course in 1980.

Having trained at Chelsea and the Royal College of Art, she has dedicated her life to teaching and inspiring students, as well as working on her own designs for the last 40 years. She has been prolific in contemporary textile design throughout her teaching career. Gibson recounts one of her lucky achievements as selling prints to Twiggy in the 60s to buy a cottage. She counts John Galliano, Steven Flett, Stephen Jones, Craig Green, Keenan Duffty, Corinne Drewery, Alexander McQueen, Sarah Burton, Richard Quinn, AV Robertson and Mimi Wade as her alumni.
