Paolo Roversi

Paolo Roversi is an Italian-born photographer who lives and works in Paris. He began his photographic career at the age of 20, concentrating mostly on portraiture but later moving into fashion photography. His work has appeared in magazines including Harper’s Bazaar, i-D, Interview, L’Uomo Vogue, British and Italian Vogue and W.

Roversi has also shot advertising campaigns for designers such as Giorgio Armani, Comme des Garçons, Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent and Yohji Yamamoto, as well as commercials for clients including Evian, Kenzo and Woolmark. In 1993, Roversi published an exhibition catalogue entitled Angeli, inspired by his travels in India and the Middle East and was followed by his first book Nudi and later, Libretto, a book based on Comme des Garçons. Images from all three of Roversi’s publications have been exhibited internationally. Roversi published Studio, featuring studio shoots taken over 25 years, in early 2006.
