Born in Hong Kong, Ryan Lo spent a significant part of his formative years in London, where he attended university and honed his skills with Charles Anastase. Romantic fantasy is a consistent theme in Lo's work. Drawing inspiration from pop culture and a childlike notion of girliness, he crafts his designs with an unconventional DIY approach self-taught from Youtube videos. He has been awarded the Serpentine Gallery's Dreamy Award, as well as the Dazed & Confused X G-Shock award.
