Taisuke Mohri
Artist
Taisuke Mohri began studying drawing techniques at the age of 17, using them to create works inspired by fashion photography. During his studies at Tokyo University of the Arts, he specialised in industrial arts and created refined and elaborate objects, but also developed an interest in breaking common visual patterns, working mainly with pencil and paper. His attention switched from production of objects to the creation of supersaturated nonconventional images. In his Extra-real, Skin portrait, Cracked portrait and Resurrections series, he concentrates on disturbing experience and hyper-presence.
