Thierry Dreyfus

Lighting Designer

Thierry Dreyfus is a leading lighting designer, based in France. He first came in to contact with stage lighting when he assisted the lighting designer for the Strasbourg Opera in the 1980s. His subsequent career has seen him create imaginative catwalk lighting for some of fashion's biggest names, from Yves Saint Laurent to Helmut Lang. For Martine Sitbon, he recreated the effect of the pink and amber lights of Paris, while for Dior Homme he designed a theatrical, backlit effect with stroboscopic effects. Dreyfus worked with the designer Ann Demeulemeester for many years, starting in 1989. Alongside his catwalk shows, Dreyfus has created light projects for the French State Bank and has designed a range of domestic lamps and lighting. He is founder of the luxury event production group Eyesight.
