Vanessa Friedman is Fashion Editor of the Financial Times. A graduate of Princeton University, Friedman has been fashion editor of the FT since 2002 and is the first person to hold the post. She writes a weekly column on style, edits the Business of Fashion supplements, and helped coordinate the FT’s Business of Luxury conference.
Before joining the FT, Friedman was Features/Fashion features director of UK In Style from its launch in 2000. She has worked in editorial positions in numerous magazines in New York, her hometown, including The New Yorker and Vanity Fair, and has contributed to US & UK Vogue, US & UK Elle, The Economist, Entertainment Weekly, and Wallpaper, among other publications.
