Agi&Sam

Designer

Agi&Sam is a fashion brand founded by Agape Mdumulla and Sam Cotton.

When Mdumulla and Cotton began their label, their fundamental thought was to design for men, with a strong emphasis on bespoke prints and humour. Gaining experience at the London studios of various international fashion houses and British brands, the design duo showcased their seasonal offering on schedule at London Collections: Men.

Agi&Sam were nominated for the Emerging Talent menswear prize at the British Fashion Awards 2012, and in the winter of the same year their debut women's collection launched: a capsule range of patterned shirts exclusively for Harvey Nichols. In May 2013, Agi&Sam collaborated with Topman on an exclusive line of suiting and sportswear featuring their signature prints. In 2014 they were awarded GQ's Breakthrough Designers of the Year Award, and in 2015 they won the UK Woolmark Prize. In 2017 Cotton left the company and created a solo line entitled &Sam: Agi&Sam as a brand went on hiatus.
