Agyness Deyn is an English model and actress. Born in 1983 in Manchester, she won a local modelling competition aged 16. She later signed to Select Model Management, after being spotted whilst shopping in Kentish Town with her friend Henry Holland.
Affiliated closely with the London nu-rave scene and often spotted on outings to Hoxton Square’s Boombox nightclub, Deyn embodied a certain zeitgeist of youthful optimism enthralling London in the late noughties. She has worked with top fashion photographers including Steven Meisel, Mert & Marcus, Mario Testino and Patrick Demarchelier and has appeared in campaigns for Mulberry, Giorgio Armani, Burberry, Jean Paul Gaultier, Galliano and Hugo Boss. Deyn has also graced the covers of Vogue Italia, British Vogue, Sunday Times Style and POP, amongst others.
Alongside modelling, Deyn has pursued her interests in music and film, providing the vocals for Who by Five O'Clock Heroes and starring in the 2010 films Clash of the Titans and Acid Burn. in 2012 Deyn added to her film credits with the movies Pusher and Here.
Deyn is married to actor Giovanni Ribisi and lives in New York.
