Daniel w. Fletcher

Designer

Daniel w. Fletcher is a London based contemporary menswear designer who founded his eponymous brand in 2015 after graduating from Central Saint Martins.

Originally from the North West of England, Fletcher moved to London to study and gained experience at Louis Vuitton, Victoria Beckham, Burberry and Lanvin before starting his brand. Fletcher's eponymous label made its mark immediately when Opening Ceremony bought his graduate collection and produced a capsule collection of eight of his designs for S/S 16. Fletcher is known for collections which combine classic shapes with unconventional textiles; socio-political commentary spliced with snippets from his personal life.

In October 2016, Daniel opened a pop-up store in Covent Garden, in collaboration with renowned architect Farshid Moussavi. Fletcher was a semi-finalist for the 2018 edition of the Woolmark prize and the 2019 Global Final. Fletcher also received the Future British Award in 2017 and was a nominee for the LVMH Prize the same year. As well as this he was a winner of the 2016 BFC Fashion Film Award and in 2018 was named as one of Drapers' '30 under 30'.

Fletcher also featured as a competitor in Netflix's 2019 Next in Fashion series, winning runner-up status.

Alongside his own label, Fletcher is the menswear artistic director of Italian brand Fiorucci, appointed in 2019.
