Director

Durk Dehner is the co-founder of the Tom of Finland Foundation. Dehner, along with Touko Laaksonen a.k.a. Tom of Finland, established the foundation in 1984, in order to preserve, collect, and exhibit erotic art (as well as archiving Tom of Finland's own works). Since meeting one another in 1978, Dehner and Laaksonen worked closely together–Dehner serving from time to time as Laaksonen's muse–and did so until Laaksonen's death in 1991.

Instrumental in promoting Tom of Finland's work both in America and internationally, Dehner has worked across multiple fields including film direction, publishing, public relations, photography, public speaking writing, and event production.
