Ece Ege

Designer

Ece Ege was born in Bursa, Turkey. In 1992, after graduating from Esmod Paris, she launched her fashion brand Dice Kayek with her sister Ayse. Ege defines her style as modern romantic, an oscillating universe between tradition and modernity. She also uses contrasted materials on foldings, as well as hand-made embroideries and rich and unique fabrics to create her timeless designs.

In 2009, Istanbul’s magnificent historical and modern contrasts, which has been a great source of inspiration for Dice Kayek as a brand, inspired her couture collection called Istanbul Contrast. The collection was presented at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, the Istanbul Museum of Modern Art and the Amsterdam Museum, and in 2013, it was shortlisted for the Victoria and Albert Museum’s Jameel Prize III.
