Ericke Tjiueza is an art director and curator based in Namibia. Since founding New Luxury Studios in 2018, he aims to internationally evolve the role of contemporary African art.
Tjiueza's professional skills include art directing, video directing, photography, set design, costume design and concept development. His work aims to create representation for minority African identities, more specifically Namibian millennials. Besides being passionate about extending the reach and ingenuity of African subcultures, Tjiueza has been intentional about establishing digital archives that align with the cultural modernity of being a young African.
Tjiueza completed a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Chartered Accounting at the University of Cape Town. Since graduating, Tjiueza was nominated for Best Music Video at the Namibian Music Awards (NAMAs). He has produced a short film for Canadian artist Kaesun, had photos featured on PhotoVogue Italia, AFROPUNK and Ocean Africa, and has styled campaigns for MTC and Old Mutual.
