Heather Sproat

Designer

Heather Sproat is a London-based designer and lecturer. Sproat graduated from Central Saint Martins in 1993 after completing the BA Womenswear course. Awarded the Royal Warrant Holders' Queen Elizabeth scholarship in 1997, Sproat spent a year studying haute couture tailoring techniques as an observatrice at the Christian Dior haute couture atelier in Paris.

In 1998, Sproat was appointed as a designer at Louis Vuitton Malletier. She became an associate lecturer on womenswear at Central Saint Martins, and since 2007 has been a senior lecturer on the Fashion Design course.

Sproat has worked on various projects with Tanner Krolle, Richemont and Shanghai Tang and is also creative director for knitwear brand Woodchild.
