London-based Huishan Zhang's eponymous label was launched in 2011, after a stint at Dior's haute couture atelier. As a Chinese-born designer, Zhang has found inspiration and direction through his national identity.
Zhang has been named on the Business of Fashion 500 People Shaping the Global Fashion Industry list. In 2014, he was awarded the International Chinese Designer of the Year at the ELLE China Style Awards. In 2015, he was a finalist for the LVMH Prize. The designer was also a recipient of British Fashion Council Fashion Trust support in 2016, and has been shortlisted for the BFC/Vogue Fashion Fund in 2017 and 2018.
