Kanoyka Katerina

Kanoyka Katerina is a Belarusian media artist and fashion researcher. She is also the co-founder of the magazine UR.

Born in Minsk in 2001, Katerina studied as a painter at the Gymnasium College of Arts before heading to Saint Petersburg to study media art at HSE university. Her research and creative interest focus on the ambiguous nature of art in general and fashion in particular, as well as the way in which national and personal trauma are expressed in creativity.

In April 2021, Katerina helped to curate the Vidimo-Nevidimo (seen-unseen) exhibition, which was then invited to exhibit in Paris by Cartier. Katerina has also had personal researched included in international conferences and contributed video art to various group exhibitions.
