Kim Jones is a British fashion designer. In 2002, Jones graduated from Central Saint Martins' MA programme in menswear, his career taking off when John Galliano bought half of his graduate collection. The next year, Jones launched his eponymous label, which showed for eight seasons.
Jones has worked for several fashion brands. From 2008-2013 he was creative director at dunhill, moving to Louis Vuitton to head up their menswear from 2011-2018. During his tenure at Louis Vuitton, Jones revolutionised the definition of high-end menswear. Jones injected the brand's refined luxury aesthetic with a streetwear sensibility, bringing the historic brand into the 21st century with his innovative and modern take on menswear. In 2017, Jones launched the critically acclaimed collaboration between Louis Vuitton and cult skate brand, Supreme. The collection was so popular that certain pieces from it became collectors items before they had even dropped in stores.
In 2018, Jones became artistic director of Dior Men. Jones launched the first menswear Cruise show for Dior in 2019 in Tokyo, and has been credited with igniting a new generation's interest in menswear.
Jones has also worked as a stylist and an art director for a host of magazines including Dazed & Confused, Pop, Fantastic Man and T: The New York Times Style Magazine.
In 2018, Jones received the inaugural Trailblazer Award from the British Fashion Council. Jones also won the British Fashion Council’s Menswear Designer of the Year award in 2009 and again in 2011. He is a two-time recipient of the Topshop New Generation award.
