Little Sun was founded in 2012 by artist Olafur Eliasson and engineer Frederik Otteson to provide clean, affordable solar energy to communities without access to electricity. Simultaneously a line of solar products and a work of art, this global project raises awareness of the need for equal access to energy and light. As a social business, Little Sun encourages sustainable development through sales of its solar-powered lamps and chargers.
