Loewe is a Spanish leather goods and ready-to-wear brand. Founded in 1846 in Madrid by Enrique Loewe Roessberg, Loewe is one of the oldest luxury brands in the world and a proud part of Spain's luxury leather industry that dates back over 1300 years. Dealing in leather purses and handbags, Loewe was granted the honour of Supplier to the Royal Court in 1905. The company is now run by Enrique Loewe Hilton, son of founder Roessberg.

Loewe launched ready-to-wear in 1965, and was purchased by the luxury conglomerate LVMH in 1996. Together with the appointment of creative director Stuart Vevers in 2007, Loewe became a brand to watch. In 2013, Vevers was replaced by Irish designer Jonathan Anderson.
