Louis de Gama is a Portuguese fashion designer based in London since 1992. After studying garment technology, de Gama followed the Fashion Design course at the University of Westminster, also working with designer Tristan Webber and at Salvatore where he learnt bespoke tailoring. In 2002, de Gama founded his eponymous label and launched the first collection at London Fashion Week, bought in its entirety by Browns Focus. De Gama's designs are defined by a confident femininity and an eclectic use of materials such as leather with silk chiffons and embroidery. The designer showed a collection for A/W 20, after eight years away from the fashion industry working on other creative projects.
