Phoebe Boswell

Phoebe Boswell is an interdisciplinary artist working in London.

Since studying painting at UCL's Slade School of Art and 2D animation at Central St Martins, Boswell's work has been exhibited around the globe, showing with galleries including Kettle's Yard, Iniva, the Royal Academy, Kristin Hjellegjerde, Carroll / Fletcher, and Tiwani Contemporary.

Boswell has participated in the Göteborg International Biennial of Contemporary Art in 2015 and the Biennial of Moving Images in 2016 at the Centre d'Art Contemporain in Geneva. In 2019, she was the Bridget Riley Drawing Fellow at the British School in Rome. Her works are held in public and private collections, including the UK Government Art Collection and The Studio Museum, New York.

Boswell received the Lumière Award from the Royal Photographic Society in 2021 for major achievement in film & video and is Whitechapel Gallery's Writer-In-Residence for 2022.
