Qasimi is a London-based fashion brand with a Middle Eastern heritage founded in 2015 by Khalid al-Qasimi. Established upon four pillars of architecture, colour, military and messaging, the brand focuses on crafting understated and refined garments from a perspective that reflects its multicultural origins. The Qasimi narrative centres around the idea of an urban nomad whose endeavours takes one on various journeys across the Arab world in an exercise of culture dialogue and exchange. Born in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates but educated in the UK, Al-Qasimi wove politics and poetry into his collections, exploring subjects ranging from the strained relationship between the Middle East and the West, to his own life experiences. In 2018, the brand collaborated with War Child - a charity for the silent victims of war, children.
In 2019, Khalid al-Qasimi died and his twin sister Hoor Al Qasimi assumed the role of creative director. Hoor Al Qasimi is also an artist and curator, and the President of the Sharjah Art Foundation. Presenting her debut collection for S/S 21, she endeavours to continue the legacy of her brother's work.
Qasimi shows on-schedule during London Fashion Week Men's and is stocked internationally.
