Social Media Manager

SHOWstudio have an exciting opportunity for one individual to work within our studio to help us push boundaries, create solutions and manage all social media activities.

The Social Media Manager will be an integral member of the SHOWstudio team. You will have a proven track record of demonstrating exceptional knowledge and understanding of the Social Media landscape – including content optimisation and algorithms, building and engaging communities, social listening and reporting, skills in planning and executing socially-led projects and campaigns, and an understanding of the latest technologies impacting key global platforms. Additionally, you will have an excellent understanding of different users’ engagement on different platforms and have skills in visual branding in order to produce high quality content that engages audiences.

You are passionate about social media, and understand different platforms complexities and nuances because you are an experienced, avid user. You are naturally curious, always seeking out best practise examples, and love to break down barriers with new ways of doing things.

Duties:

  • managing all social media accounts of SHOWstudio – Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Youtube, LinkedIn
  • generating and creating overall social media weekly/monthly/yearly calendar.
  • developing and setting social media content strategies for each platform, with weekly and monthly reports on performance across key metrics. ROI reports where necessary.
  • monitor and strategize all social media community engagement. E.g: monitoring responses and engaging as appropriate to strengthen brand’s profile, engaging with existing SHOWstudio contributors but also target and gain the support of other industry creatives or influencers.
  • coordinate social media specific content creation.
  • attendance at events (after-hours) where/If required, for live social coverage etc.
  • providing ad hoc assistance to editorial, production, gallery and film team when required.
  • working closely with both Film and Design teams to ensure content created is optimised for all social platforms and adhering to best practise.
  • oversee copywriting for all social platforms, working alongside Editorial Department.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 2-4 years’ experience, ideally in a similar social media management role
  • Experience with social media scheduling tools such as Loomly, Hootsuite and Buffer.
  • Experience with social media analytics and reporting
  • Experience in fashion is essential and an interest in photography and film would be beneficial .
  • Knowledge of influencers, creatives, competitors within the industry is key.

Skills:

  • Strong writing and sub-editing skills.
  • Ability to understand and appropriately convey SHOWstudio’s values, tone of voice and visual aesthetic.
  • Strong organisational skills and an ability to work within a fast-paced, growing business.
  • Strong understanding of social media’s scheduling, reporting and analytical platforms.
  • Ability to effectively manage community engagement.
  • Photography skills would be desirable but not compulsory.

PA to Photographer

We are seeking an experienced Personal Assistant for an established Fashion Photographer in London.

SHOWstudio normal office hours are 10.00am – 6.00pm Monday – Friday, however a degree of flexibility is required given you will be working closely with the director and executive producer.

A large part of the role is to manage the busy schedule of the director and executive producer. As their schedule regularly changes - often at short notice -, frequent prioritisation and scheduling of meetings and appointments is key. You will manage complex diary arrangements, worldwide travel and private affairs, as well as coordinating the director’s diary with our executive producer, assisting in shoot organisation.

The role would suit an ambitious, hardworking and highly adaptable individual, who works with discretion and excellent communication skills. A positive attitude and energy is essential. You will take initiative, always thinking about how tasks can be made easier or more efficient. A willingness to help, the ability to anticipate what might be needed and the enterprise to act upon it, is crucial.

A candidate with a background in Fashion is essential.

Duties:

  • Supporting the client with business ventures, tasks and event management.
  • Complex diary management and scheduling, coordinating with the executive producer and project manager
  • Assisting production and 1st/2nd assistant with organising castings, shoots and events
  • Coordinating all business travel:hotel arrangements and flights etc.
  • Creating travel itineraries, including all required documentation.
  • Maintaining records and organising paperwork.
  • Making reservations for meetings/events at appropriate restaurants and venues.
  • Collating and submitting all expenses.
  • Ad-hoc administrative and personal tasks as and when required.
  • All business administration.
  • General day to day administration.

To be considered for this role you must:

  • Possess a minimum of 2+ years’ experience as a Personal Assistant and or Production/Photography/Post Production Assistant.
  • Have extensive knowledge of photography / fashion film.
  • Administration experience preferred.
  • Be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Have excellent contactable references.

We are seeking an experienced Personal Assistant for an established Fashion Photographer in London.

Design Intern

Working closely with SHOWstudio Art and Technical departments, the design intern will be exposed to and involved in designing and creating assets for our web site, email newsletters, films and the occasional print project. This role best suits an enthusiastic student or graduate from a creative graphics or photography-related degree with an interest in fashion.

In order to get the best out of the internship we require applicants to possess a strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. Experience working with a CMS (Content Management System) is beneficial. Basic video editing skills and basic Adobe AfterEffects skills would be preferred. Other skills that would be advantageous are an understanding of HTML and an interest in 3D/interactive design.

Good communication skills and the ability to work independently on a variety of tasks are also very beneficial. The work at the studio can be varied and so the learning environment is particularly suited to an individual possessing strong organisational skills, ability to work in very fast paced a fast-paced and time-pressured environment with excellent attention to detail.

As well as general 'running' tasks expected in any busy design studio, interns often have the unique opportunity to participate behind-the-scenes at photo shoots and live performances with some of the world's leading fashion and music creatives.

Ideally, interns work full time for a period of 12 weeks. SHOWstudio will contribute to lunch and travel expenses.

Interns are responsible for film editing support including editing footage for SHOWstudio projects, syncing video and audio, sourcing video footage and creating basic grades amongst a wide range of 'running' tasks one would expect in any busy studio.

Ideally, interns work full time for a period of 6 – 12 weeks, although part-time positions will be considered. SHOWstudio can cover lunch and travel costs (within central London).

Studio Intern

Assisting the SHOWstudio team, this internship will suit a student or recent graduate who has a strong interest in production and is looking for a runner position within the fashion and creative industries.

The internship will provide excellent hands on experience working within an active studio and online publisher. Working closely with all members of the team the studio intern would experience live studio and broadcast production, event coordination, delivery of film series and fashion collection coverage as well as publishing timeline management.

The internship is ideally suited to individuals with excellent organisational abilities, strong communication and administrative skills and ability to use common sense and logic to overcome obstacles and reach solutions. An interest in production is essential.

Ideally, interns work full time for a period of 6 – 12 weeks. SHOWstudio can cover lunch and travel costs (within central London).
