  • Technical Intern

    Intern would be assisting in elements of key roles both with day to day infrastructure, live streaming, IT and on going technical production of projects ranging from audio and cameras to CMS and Digital Platforms.

    • Must be competent and technically minded
    • Be computer literate in both Mac and PC
    • Have good working knowledge of photoshop and video editing software
    • Be able to research effectively, working hard to find answers to often difficult and complex problems
    • Must be able to work alone and as part of a team in an effective manner
    • Excellent communicator
    • Calm in a stressful situation

    Useful if have working knowledge in:

    • Google Apps
    • Android and IOS
    • Ubuntu OS

    Key Tasks:

    • Helping manage YouTube, checking for errors, building playlists
    • Assisting staff with minor technical issues, e.g printer/server connectivity 
    • Assisting with live streams, computing, audio and visual production
    • HardDrive and Data Management
    • Resolving issues on the site via CMS
    • Preparing video content for projects
    • Resolving video playback issues on previous projects
    • Assist in the implementation of infrastructure
    • Roles will not be limited to this, however these are core to the position

  • Editorial Intern

    Assisting our Editor Lou Stoppard, this role will suit a student or graduate from a fashion journalism or similar degree who has a strong interest in writing. This role requires strong organisational, communication and administration skills and an excellent command of the written word.

    Interns are responsible for administrative support, research and some writing as well as answering phones, looking after visitors and a wide range of 'running' tasks one would expect in any busy studio.

    Ideally, interns work full time for a period of 6 – 12 weeks, although part time positions will be considered. SHOWstudio can cover lunch and travel costs (within central London).

  • Photographic Assistant

    SHOWstudio is looking for a second photographic assistant to take on a full time position alongside SHOWstudio Director, Nick Knight.

    The second assistant will assist Knight on all fashion shoots as well as SHOWstudio projects. A minimum of 3 years is expected, with the possibility of progressing to Knight’s first assistant.

    This position would be well suited for a driven individual who is passionate about both Knight’s work and SHOWstudio. 

    This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to gain industry experience working for one of the most respected visionaries within fashion.

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Support Knight with his day-to-day tasks and schedule.
    • Prepare and assist for both SHOWstudio and Knight's photographic and film shoots.
    • Liase and communicate with producers and in house production manager. 
    • Prepare and order lighting equipment. 
    • Live-stream Knight’s selected shoots as well as SHOWstudio’s fashion week panel discussions.
    • Film and produce stills for SHOWstudio's various interview series and projects.
    • Back up data on all projects and shoots and archive hard drives. 
    • Photograph stock for SHOWstudio’s e-commerce site.

    Desired skills and experience:

    • Strong organisational and communication skills.
    • Hands-on approach to work.
    • Ability to work individually as well as with a busy team.
    • Ability to work competently in high pressure situations.
    • A wide knowledge of photographic equipment, in particular Broncolor flash equipment.
    • Experience filming on a variety of projects.
    • Experience with Photoshop and Capture One programs.
    • Able to use own initiative, highly self-motivated and a self-starter.
    • Full clean driving licence (optional.)
    • Valid Passport (at least six months)
    • Flexible Hours (some projects will include travel and working over weekend hours)

    This role requires strong organisational and communication skills, with emphasis on writing and commercial editorial. The role would suit an individual studying History, Cultural Studies, Journalism or Promotion, and is looking to develop a career in Marketing, PR, Production or Editorial roles.

    The successful applicants will assist all areas within the gallery and e-commerce department, gaining work experience in:

    • High quality written content creation for social media, blogs, newsletters, press releases etc., to promote online and in-store product.
    • Front of house customer and visitor communication skills.
    • Research visual references for content creation, and emerging talent.
    • Conducting research into trends, marketing strategies and competitors.
    • Assisting production on E-Commerce shoots.
    • Monitoring and processing orders and inventory management.
