  • Design Intern

    Working closely with SHOWstudio Art and Technical departments, the design intern will be exposed to and involved in designing and creating assets for our web site, email newsletters, films and the occasional print project.  This role best suits an enthusiastic student or graduate from a creative graphics or photography-related degree with an interest in fashion.

    In order to get the best out of the internship we require applicants to possess a strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. Experience working with a CMS (Content Management System) is beneficial. Other skills that would be advantageous are basic video editing skills, Adobe AfterEffects, an understanding of HTML and an interest in 3D/interactive design.

    Good communication skills and the ability to work independently on a variety of tasks are also very beneficial. The work at the studio can be varied and so the learning environment is particularly suited to an individual possessing strong organisational skills, ability to work in very fast paced a fast-paced and time-pressured environment with excellent attention to detail.

    As well as general 'running' tasks expected in any busy design studio, interns often have the unique opportunity to participate behind-the-scenes at photo shoots and live performances with some of the world’s leading fashion and music creative’s.

    Ideally, interns work full time for a period of 12 weeks. SHOWstudio will contribute to lunch and travel expenses.

    As our Business Development Manager you will be expected to:

    • Recognise and understand the potential of SHOWstudio and its revenue streams
    • Identify and secure new clients 
    • Build and maintain client relationships
    • Secure sponsorship deals for specific SHOWstudio projects
    • Create and maintain a database of existing and prospective collaborators
    • Devise business strategies and write comprehensive plans
    • Meet and exceed revenue targets
    • Perform daily administrative tasks related to sales processes
    • Maintain relevant knowledge of the industry, gathering market intelligence by reporting noteworthy information regarding customers, competitors and the marketplace 

    Skills and experience:

    • High levels of initiative and self-motivation 
    • 2-5 years within a similar Business Development role 
    • Strong written, verbal communication and people skills
    • Ability to build lasting relationships with clients
    • Ability to strategise and problem-solve 
    • Excellent organisational skills
    • Highly numerate
    • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
    • Degree qualification (preferable)

  • Ecommerce Editorial and Content Production Internship

    Assisting E-Commerce Manager Mariana Kazarnovsky, and E-Commerce Assistant Aileen Pham, this internship is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing area of the business, and pick up the skills to start your career in the fashion industry.

    This role requires strong organisational, communication and business skills, with emphasis on writing, time management, confidence with numbers and a strong visual eye. The role would suit an individual studying Business, Economics, Marketing, Communication, Branding & Promotion, and is looking to develop a career in E-Commerce, Marketing & PR, Production or Branding and Editorial roles.

    The successful applicants will assist all areas within the e-commerce department, gaining work experience in:

    • Assisting production on E-Commerce shoots.
    • Monitoring and processing orders and inventory management.
    • Assisting in timely upload of product to the online store.
    • Assisting in implementing online marketing campaigns.
    • Research, writing and assisting with planning.
    • Assisting with administrative duties & ‘Running’ tasks

  • Editing Intern

    Assisting our Fashion Film team this role will suit a student or graduate from a film making / photography degree who has a strong interest in film editing. This role requires strong editing skills and technical ability.

    Interns are responsible for film editing support including editing footage for SHOWstudio projects, syncing video and audio, sourcing video footage and creating basic grades amongst a wide range of 'running' tasks one would expect in any busy studio.

  • Gallery and Press Relations Internship

    Assisting our Gallery Manager Bex Cassie and Communications and Special Projects Manager Emily Knight, this internship will suit a student or recent graduate who has a strong interest in Gallery and PR departments.

    The internship will provide excellent hands on experience in being front of house in a gallery, whilst simultaneously working on behind the scenes coordination of inventories, uploading of artwork to our e-commerce platform, and maintaining display and safe storage of artworks. Assisting also in archiving SHOWstudio’s press coverage and liaising with Emily Knight on gaining press and promotion for the gallery and its artists.

    This internship is ideally suited to individuals with excellent interpersonal skills, organisational abilities, strong communication and administrative skills as well as experience in front of house gallery roles.

  • Technical Supervisor

    SHOWstudio has a rare and exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as Technical Supervisor. Working with Nick Knight and a team of dedicated and passionate individuals, the position is pivotal to the creation and execution of SHOWstudio’s diverse and pioneering content. 
     
    The Technical Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the smooth running of SHOWstudio's technical facilities – including internet, phone, intranet and mail servers – as well as ensuring the smooth running of projects - including live streams, audio and video work and offering creative solutions and suggestions for the technical side of SHOWstudio's pioneering projects and films.
     
    Responsibilities include:
     
    • Live streaming - setting up and overseeing various SHOWstudio live streams, including interviews, shoots, panel discussions etc. This involves maintaining streaming equipment, set-up of multiple camera shoots, monitoring audio and supervising video feeds to deliver a high quality stream
    • Audio recording - overseeing and managing all in-house audio recordings including interviews and on-location shoots
    • Camera equipment - organising and setting up of cameras for SHOWstudio recordings
    • Office equipment - maintaining the smooth running of the studio including the maintenance of computers, the office network and general office hardware and software
    • Website management - helping with managing content on the website. Using the custom CMS you will be required to help with the preparation and uploading of site assets and assisting the team with general site use
    • Video preparation - preparing videos for the site and YouTube, including dropping in title cards, compressions and working with the editing team to ensure quality is kept to a high level
    • Technical input on all SHOWstudio projects - this will include equipment budgets and careful planning to ensure projects run as efficiently as possible
    • Project realization – suggesting and implementing relevant technical solutions to ensure delivery of various SHOWstudio projects such as various video/ audio delivery systems i.e. soundcloud imbeds/ media players 
    • The Technical Supervisor should also:
    • Have an interest in fashion, art and music
    • Be keen to work across a broad range of technical tasks, and proactive in learning new technical skills
    • Be happy taking responsibility for deliverables, including what will sometimes be sole responsibility for a particular task
    • Have an appreciation of what SHOWstudio does, and be keen to offer creative input on its activities going forward
    • Build and maintain a network of contributors to be utilised on various projects 
    • Maintain up to date knowledge of software and hardware advancements in order to ensure the technical aspects of SHOWstudio are up to date and running optimally
    • Able to work well and remain calm under pressure 
    • Strong communication with all levels and with high profile individuals

  • Technical Intern

    Intern would be assisting in elements of key roles both with day to day infrastructure, live streaming, IT and on going technical production of projects ranging from audio and cameras to CMS and Digital Platforms.

    • Must be competent and technically minded
    • Be computer literate in both Mac and PC
    • Have good working knowledge of photoshop and video editing software
    • Be able to research effectively, working hard to find answers to often difficult and complex problems
    • Must be able to work alone and as part of a team in an effective manner
    • Excellent communicator
    • Calm in a stressful situation

    Useful if have working knowledge in:

    • Google Apps
    • Android and IOS
    • Ubuntu OS

    Key Tasks:

    • Helping manage YouTube, checking for errors, building playlists
    • Assisting staff with minor technical issues, e.g printer/server connectivity 
    • Assisting with live streams, computing, audio and visual production
    • HardDrive and Data Management
    • Resolving issues on the site via CMS
    • Preparing video content for projects
    • Resolving video playback issues on previous projects
    • Assist in the implementation of infrastructure
    • Roles will not be limited to this, however these are core to the position

    What you will gain:
