  • Design Intern

    Working closely with SHOWstudio Art and Technical departments, the design intern will be exposed to and involved in designing and creating assets for our web site, email newsletters, films and the occasional print project.  This role best suits an enthusiastic student or graduate from a creative graphics or photography-related degree with an interest in fashion.

    In order to get the best out of the internship we require applicants to possess a strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. Experience working with a CMS (Content Management System) is beneficial. Other skills that would be advantageous are basic video editing skills, Adobe AfterEffects, an understanding of HTML and an interest in 3D/interactive design.

    Good communication skills and the ability to work independently on a variety of tasks are also very beneficial. The work at the studio can be varied and so the learning environment is particularly suited to an individual possessing strong organisational skills, ability to work in very fast paced a fast-paced and time-pressured environment with excellent attention to detail.

    As well as general 'running' tasks expected in any busy design studio, interns often have the unique opportunity to participate behind-the-scenes at photo shoots and live performances with some of the world’s leading fashion and music creative’s.

    Ideally, interns work full time for a period of 12 weeks. SHOWstudio will contribute to lunch and travel expenses.

  • Digital Art Director

    SHOWstudio has a rare and exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as Digital Art Director. Working with Nick Knight and a team of dedicated and passionate individuals, the position is pivotal to the creation and execution of SHOWstudio’s diverse and pioneering content.  

    The Digital Art Director is central in the presentation and visual development of the website and brand. They will work especially closely with Nick Knight to devise new methods to display content, to work on digital output such as fashion films and design, both off and online, across multiple strands of the company. 

    Responsibilities include:

    • Working with all departments to ensure that all content is to its highest visual output
    • Having an impeccable attention to detail
    • Being able to communicate ideas and sometimes complex concepts to a variety of people with varying technical understanding
    • Being able to brief and manage junior designers and design interns with daily tasks and time management
    • Creating mockups and options across still imagery, graphic design tasks and 3D animation
    • Being forward thinking in image making - being up to date with what digital design means today in both the fashion industry and other fields
    • Working with’s Content Management System (CMS) to aid in the publishing process of a variety of content and being flexible and having the foresight to problem solve on the spot to achieve impeccable results
    • Future proofing content produced. As well as being innovative in their creative thought processes, the candidate should be diligent in ensuring that assets produced are archived properly and that source files and original working suggestions are saved
    • Attending live events and ensuring that backstage and behind the scenes imagery is taken to a high level and passed on to the social media team. Ensuring that the brand is well represented at all times
    • Collaborating closely with SHOWstudio’s Director, Nick Knight, and his film team, to suggest technical innovations in digital design that aid in the aesthetic and delivery of film projects - especially within the 3D design field
    • Maintaining timetabled content - adhering to tight deadlines and ensuring assets are signed off, prepared and uploaded to the website ahead of published time
    • Working with the eCommerce and gallery teams to aid in their endeavours - through working on design changes to the shop website, offline printed media such as booklets and checklists
    • Maintaining and checking over all social media output. Working to enhance platforms such as Tumblr to deliver world-class consumption of SHOWstudio’s media - working with HTML / CSS / Jquery where applicable to enhance the experience
    • Working within the team to create interactive elements to projects. Being comfortable using HTML5 / JQuery / three.js to reimagine what digital output means online and how users can interact with our archive
    • Working closely with SHOWstudio’s Editor to aid in the development of project concepts. Being able to develop suggestions and ideas for projects that remain within the constraints of budget and time considerations

    Skills and understanding required

    • Have an interest in fashion, art and music
    • Forward thinking and able to navigate through difficult technical challenges
    • A high level understanding of all Adobe Cloud software including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro etc.
    • A good to high level understanding of 3D software - ideally Cinema 4D (although alternatives such as Max, Rhino or Maya are welcomed)
    • A good to high level understanding of ZBRUSH
    • An excellent knowledge of HTML / CSS / Jquery
    • A good knowledge of PHP and MySQL (to aid in the maintenance of nickknight.comand
    • A high level of interest in the landscape of digital design today - being able to cross disciplines to suit briefs and being comfortable developing unique techniques and processes

  • Technical Intern

    Intern would be assisting in elements of key roles both with day to day infrastructure, live streaming, IT and on going technical production of projects ranging from audio and cameras to CMS and Digital Platforms.

    • Must be competent and technically minded
    • Be computer literate in both Mac and PC
    • Have good working knowledge of photoshop and video editing software
    • Be able to research effectively, working hard to find answers to often difficult and complex problems
    • Must be able to work alone and as part of a team in an effective manner
    • Excellent communicator
    • Calm in a stressful situation

    Useful if have working knowledge in:

    • Google Apps
    • Android and IOS
    • Ubuntu OS

    Key Tasks:

    • Helping manage YouTube, checking for errors, building playlists
    • Assisting staff with minor technical issues, e.g printer/server connectivity 
    • Assisting with live streams, computing, audio and visual production
    • HardDrive and Data Management
    • Resolving issues on the site via CMS
    • Preparing video content for projects
    • Resolving video playback issues on previous projects
    • Assist in the implementation of infrastructure
    • Roles will not be limited to this, however these are core to the position

  • Ecommerce Editorial and Content Production Internship

    Assisting E-Commerce Manager Mariana Kazarnovsky, and Gallery Assistant Bex Cassie, this internship is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing area of the business, and pick up the skills to start your career in the fashion industry.

    This role requires strong organisational and communication skills, with emphasis on writing and commercial editorial. The role would suit an individual studying History, Cultural Studies, Journalism or Promotion, and is looking to develop a career in Marketing, PR, Production or Editorial roles.

    The successful applicants will assist all areas within the gallery and e-commerce department, gaining work experience in:

    • High quality written content creation for social media, blogs, newsletters, press releases etc., to promote online and in-store product.
    • Front of house customer and visitor communication skills.
    • Research visual references for content creation, and emerging talent.
    • Conducting research into trends, marketing strategies and competitors.
    • Assisting production on E-Commerce shoots.
    • Monitoring and processing orders and inventory management.
    • Assisting in implementing online marketing campaigns.
    • Research, writing and assisting with planning.
    • Setting up exhibitions.
    • Assisting with administrative duties & ‘Running’ tasks 

    The successful candidate will have the following Skills and Expertise:

    • Strong writing skills for creating online content.
    • Business acumen, creativity and enthusiasm.

    • Keen interest in the Fashion & Creative Arts industries.

    • An Arts of Fashion focused Marketing or Management related degree is preferred as well as previous experience in the Luxury market. 

    Ideally, interns work full time for a period of 6 – 12 weeks, although part time positions will be considered. SHOWstudio can cover lunch and travel costs (within central London).
