  • Design Intern

    Working closely with SHOWstudio Art and Technical departments, the design intern will be exposed to and involved in designing and creating assets for our web site, email newsletters, films and the occasional print project.  This role best suits an enthusiastic student or graduate from a creative graphics or photography-related degree with an interest in fashion.

    In order to get the best out of the internship we require applicants to possess a strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. Experience working with a CMS (Content Management System) is beneficial. Other skills that would be advantageous are basic video editing skills, Adobe AfterEffects, an understanding of HTML and an interest in 3D/interactive design.

    Good communication skills and the ability to work independently on a variety of tasks are also very beneficial. The work at the studio can be varied and so the learning environment is particularly suited to an individual possessing strong organisational skills, ability to work in very fast paced a fast-paced and time-pressured environment with excellent attention to detail.

    As well as general 'running' tasks expected in any busy design studio, interns often have the unique opportunity to participate behind-the-scenes at photo shoots and live performances with some of the world’s leading fashion and music creative’s.

    Ideally, interns work full time for a period of 12 weeks. SHOWstudio will contribute to lunch and travel expenses.

  • Editorial Intern

    Assisting our editorial department, this role will suit a student or graduate from a fashion journalism or similar degree who has a strong interest in writing. This role requires strong organisational, communication and administration skills and an excellent command of the written word.

    Interns are responsible for administrative support, research and some writing as well as answering phones, looking after visitors and a wide range of 'running' tasks one would expect in any busy studio.

    Ideally, interns work full time for a period of 6 – 12 weeks, although part-time positions will be considered. SHOWstudio can cover lunch and travel costs (within central London). 

    This position requires an individual who is available to start as soon as possible!

    Job Overview

    As part of the busy and talented existing team, this role works closely with the different departments, to manage the technical elements of SHOWstudio.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Live streaming - setting up and overseeing various SHOWstudio live streams, including interviews, shoots, panel discussions etc. This involves maintaining streaming equipment, set-up of multiple camera shoots, monitoring audio and supervising video feeds to deliver a high-quality stream
    • Audio recording - overseeing and managing all in-house audio recordings including interviews and on-location shoots
    • Camera equipment - organising and setting up of cameras for SHOWstudio recordings
    • Website management - helping with managing content on the website. Using the custom CMS you will be required to help with the preparation and uploading of site assets and assisting the team with general site use
    • Technical input on all SHOWstudio projects - this will include equipment budgets and careful planning to ensure projects run as efficiently as possible
    • Project realisation – suggesting and implementing relevant technical solutions to ensure delivery of various SHOWstudio projects such as various video/ audio delivery systems i.e. soundcloud embeds/ media players 
    • Password management - supervising SHOWstudio's password management system, and routinely changing passwords and for all sensitive account. Ensuring that all employees have access to the password management system and are trained to use it. 
    • Management and supervision of the internal server - keeping a clean structure for the "Intranet", and making sure all users are trained and routinely and correctly back up company files on the server.
    • Media archive management - ensuring internal database has a structured backup of all created media. Upload of archival content to 3rd party channels (YouTube, Vimeo etc), updating the website with updated formats (i.e. YouTube embed to replace video directly uploaded to site, HTML5 to replace Flash files etc.) 
    • YouTube / Vimeo management - resolving issues with content restrictions, copyright and licenses on 3rd party media platforms. 
    • Equipment management - create a check in - check out calendar system for equipment, to ensure that equipment is not being double booked for shoots happening simultaneously.

    SKILLS PROFILE

    Work is often done by small teams under tight deadlines, so strong communication skills are needed, as is calmness under pressure, resourcefulness, ingenuity in solving problems, dependability, attention to detail, and the ability to cope with rapid change.

    The ideal candidate takes ownership of the work, sees things through, and is dedicated to SHOWstudio high standards. Please note this is a junior role, however not entry level, ideally with 1 or 2 years experience.

    Key Qualifications

    • Must have previous experience of live sound recording
    • Have an interest in fashion, art and music
    • Be keen to work across a broad range of technical tasks, and proactive in learning new technical skills
    • Be happy taking responsibility for deliverables, including what will sometimes be sole responsibility for a particular task
    • Have an appreciation of what SHOWstudio do, and be keen to offer creative input on their activities going forward
    • Build and maintain a network of contributors to be hired on ad hoc projects 
    • Maintain up to date knowledge of software and hardware advancements in order to ensure the technical aspects of SHOWstudio are up to date and running optimally
    • Able to work well and remain calm under pressure 
    • Strong communications with all levels and with high profile individuals
    • Keep up to date & communicate to the team advances in appropriate new technologies

    Job Overview

    As part of the busy and talented existing team, The Office Manager role at SHOWstudio works closely with the different departments, to run the office. This person will oversee the day-to-day management of the office, facilities and staff to ensure there is a strong support network for the faced paced environment.

    Day to day responsibilities include; Scheduling, HR support, Intern Management, Office Facilities, Recruitment and Finances.

    The Office Manager will frequently partner with the Production Co-ordinator to track creative development and production, as well as help maintain all workflow, approval processes, schedules and budget management.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Office Management – Office Supplies, External Contractors, Staff Rotation and Schedules, Office Communications
    • HR Support – Recruitment, Contracts, Offers, Gifts and Social Events.
    • Finance and Expense reporting
    • Intern Management – Recruitment, Induction and Management
    • Liaising with Production Coordinator on all logistics and travel in line with productions.
    • Oversee internal staffing during collections to ensure all roles are covered.
    • Working with Exec Producer, Finance and Directors on expenses, accounts, external supplier engagement.
    • Working with Production Coordinator to assist with ‘Collections’. Aiding with Invites, Live Stream Productions, Travel & Accommodation for internal teams.

    SKILLS PROFILE

    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines
    • Solve problems creatively and compromise without impacting the work
    • A self-motivated, flexible individual with strong communications skills
    • Keen interest in finances, strong negotiation skills and ability to cost control.

    Additional Requirements

    • Demonstrable project and budget management skills,
    • solid understanding of the creative development process.

    Assisting our Fashion Film team this role will suit a student or graduate from a film making / photography degree who has a strong interest in film editing. This role requires strong editing skills and technical ability.

    Interns are responsible for film editing support including editing footage for SHOWstudio projects, syncing video and audio, sourcing video footage and creating basic grades amongst a wide range of 'running' tasks one would expect in any busy studio.

    Ideally, interns work full time for a period of 6 – 12 weeks, although part time positions will be considered. SHOWstudio can cover lunch and travel costs (within central London).

  • Studio Intern

    Assisting the SHOWstudio team, this internship will suit a student or recent graduate who has a strong interest in production and is looking for a runner position within the fashion and creative industries. 

    The internship will provide excellent hands on experience working within an active studio and online publisher. Working closely with all members of the team the studio intern would experience live studio and broadcast production, event coordination, delivery of film series and fashion collection coverage as well as publishing timeline management.

    The internship is ideally suited to individuals with excellent organisational abilities, strong communication and administrative skills and ability to use common sense and logic to overcome obstacles and reach solutions. An interest in production is essential.

    Ideally, interns work full time for a period of 6 – 12 weeks. SHOWstudio can cover lunch and travel costs (within central London).
