1017 ALYX 9SM Teams Up With Rapper Destroy Lonely
The relationship between fashion and music is a longstanding one. After all, where would today’s biggest musicians be without designers helping them translate their sonic talents into equally wondrous sartorial visions? No one knows this better than Givenchy creative director Matthew M. Williams who has chosen some of today's biggest names in music like Playboy Carti and Ethel Cain for the maison's campaigns. Further exploring fashion's relationship with music, for 1017 ALYX 9SM, the designer has partnered up with Atlanta rapper Destroy Lonely on a capsule collection.
Signed to Playboi Carti’s label Opium, the musician made it big with his mixtape No Stylist which released last year and peaked at number 9 on the Billboard top 200. Partnering with Williams, the duo unveiled a collection of wardrobe staples stamped with exclusive graphics inspired by tour merch. Referencing goth rock motifs, the collection is defined by the newly introduced A-Star logo featured on T-shirts, sweatshirts, bomber jackets and more. The key pieces for any rockstar wardrobe if you ask us.
The 1017 ALYX 9SM x Destroy Lonely capsule collection will be available exclusively on alyxstudio.com.
