With winter firmly behind us now (and thank god it is) the days are ever so slightly longer, while the weather feels ever so slightly warmer. For many, the majority of winter is often spent pondering over summer's arrival with the hope that it'll make everything that bit more bearable. If your'e one of those 'I can't wait for summer' people then ponder no more as for the Louis Vuitton Men's summer capsule, summer has already arrived and by the looks of things, it's here to stay.

American rapper 21 Savage is spotted standing majestically against a scenic backdrop set in California's Venice Beach area for the new capsule collection, donning a variety of graphic LV prints. The rapper, a long-time supporter of Louis Vuitton's artistic director, Virgil Abloh has also starred in Abloh's OFF-WHITE before - so the creative duo are no strangers to each other. The capsule collection exudes a certain kind of casual nonchalance thanks to 21 Savage, highlighting Abloh's reference to the West Coast's skaters and artists.

A sense of infinity and timelessness can be felt in the campaign, something that's a recurrent theme in Abloh's work. For many, summer brings a joyful sense of nostalgia with its warm air, pink evening skies and carefree attitudes, tropes the Louis Vuitton artistic director has paid particular attention to for the collection. Following the sun's course from dawn to dusk, the campaign starts with the sun rising on pastel suits, shorts and Hawaiian shirts, before going to its zenith, which it covers with pop watercolours on traditional types of Japanese denim and finally arrives at a warm summers evening, where it casts its bluish light on short suits and indigo pyjamas.

In alignment with the French fashion house trying to do their bit for fashion's sake in keeping in mind the environment (as well as the future of fashion as a whole), the colour palette for the collection was designed without chlorine or metals and the brand used recycled nylon to create the windbreakers for the collection. Louis Vuitton has said 100% of the brand's products will commit to an eco-design strategy by 2025.

The collection will be available to buy in stores and online as of 19 March.
