Arca, Slowthai and Skepta Appear in The New Bottega Veneta Campaign
Bottega Veneta are ripping up the fashion rulebook. In January this year, the Italian house deleted their Instagram - was it performance art or suicide? Who knows. But instead of indulging in the instant gratification of social media, creative director Daniel Lee was preparing something more long winded - a quarterly digital journal featuring videos and images of models and celebrities including Missy Elliott (shot by Tyrone Lebon, house favourite), British parkour collective STORROR and South London poet Caleb Femi.
Femi appears again in Bottega's new campaign, entitled 'Wardrobe 02,' shot by Lebon. In keeping with his signature minimalist style, musicians including Arca, Little Simz, Slowthai, Skepta, Tricky and Neneh Cherry appear in individual portraits alongside artists Mark Leckey and Sue Webster. Photographer and stylist Venetia Scott also appears in front of the camera, clad in a pair of rubber puddle boots.
