A Beachwear Bonanza for the Dior Man
Dior Men's Artistic Director, Kim Jones makes a splash with his first summer capsule collection. For the sportswear-inflected offering, Jones – upholding Monsieur Dior's gallerist legacy – collaborates with Japanese contemporary artist Hajime Sorayama to create two unique prints. Combining Sorayama's futuristic aesthetic with Jones' penchant for travel and wildlife, Sorayama has re-interpreted the Dior logo, mixing it into imagined seascapes, complete with robotic mermaids and dolphins.
What can you expect to see on the rails? The capsule includes easy Aloha shirts, swim shorts, and lightweight jackets in fluid rayon and nylon. Also featured is a selection of leather goods: a trio of bag styles (a cabal, a belt-bag and the Dior 'roller'), a duo of pochettes and a fresh update on Dior's oblique sneakers. To cement your beachwear look there are also silk scarves and beach towels. Will you be taking the plunge?
