Amnesty International have created a template letter for demanding Nigerian police reforms and the prosecution of SARS officers.

Over the last week, social media has brought a fresh light to the atrocities which have been happening for years in Nigeria at the hands of the Nigerian government and SARS (Special Anti-Robbery Squad) officers. Civilians and their families are being tortured, raped, and extorted by those in power. Protestors across the world are demanding reform and the prosecution of SARS officers to obtain justice for victims.

As well as joining local protests, you can demand an end to police brutality and torture in Nigeria by emailing President Muhammadu Buhari and Attorney General Abubakar Malami. The human rights organisation Amnesty International have created a template letter to make the process that bit easer. Take action here.
