Mugler have announced a shift in seasonality: consolidating from four collections to two main seasons a year, and moving to 'see now, buy now', from Paris Fashion Week in September 2020.
This September, Mugler's Paris Fashion Week show will see the first part of Casey Cadwallader's S/S 21 collection presented, demonstrating his intention for the season. These selected looks will be available to buy and wear immediately through key retailers and on Mugler's e-commerce platform. The expanded collection will be presented to buyers only in December 2020, and then a full-scale presentation will take place in February 2021.
Mugler's announcement comes after widespread industry calls–including from the BFC and CFDA–to reduce the number of collections produced a year, in order to limit environmental impact, and also to combat creative burnout.
