The house classic, designed by Burberry's creative director Riccardo Tisci, is seen hanging off the arm of FKA Twigs, Kendall and ShyGirl in the brand's new campaign, representing femininity and strength. 10 designs will exclusively launch at Farfetch with an immersive 3D experience.

A modern classic designed by Riccardo Tisci that takes inspiration from Burberry's heritage, the Olympia bag expresses modernity and femininity, so naturally, Tisci had to call upon the modern, feminine icons of now to represent the perfectly sculpted leather, resulting in FKA Twigs, Kendall and ShyGirl all featuring in the brand's latest campaign.

Reflecting on the legacy of the Olympia bag and its feminine energy, Tisci explained:

'When designing the Olympia, I was thinking about creating the perfect form of a handbag – something that could capture the essence of femininity. So, for the campaign, I wanted to celebrate three incredible women in my life who embody the power and beauty of feminine energy: FKA twigs, Kendall and ShyGirl. These women are amazingly talented and confident and have a natural fierceness and determination to carve their own paths, each freely expressing their originality through their creativity.'

The campaign results from many talents at work, including photographers and film directors Inez and Vinoodh, stylist Ib Kamara, make-up artist Kabuki Magic, and hairstylists Jimmy Paul and Lacy Redway, suggesting that the white background featured in the campaign isn't a simple 'low-budget' choice but rather, a meaningful and tactful one. Its simplicity cannot be confused with a lack of art direction as the minimalist aesthetic for this campaign is purposeful. No distractions are needed to be taken away from the overarching theme; the uncluttered promise of femininity.

All three women also reflected on the importance of the campaign's values to them. Jenner said of being approached by Tisci for the campaign that, 'he (Tisci) is someone who has always encouraged me to be myself and his support from the beginning has meant the world to me. I am so proud to be a part of this campaign that celebrates the strength of women'. ShyGirl added, 'The first time I met Riccardo, I loved how aligned we were in regards to our approach to life. It's been great to expand on that creatively with Burberry, especially within this campaign where I've really felt able to express a different aspect of my femininity.' FKA Twigs touched upon the intrinsic nature of storytelling in Tisci's work by stating, 'Riccardo is such a genuine person and I greatly admire his creativity, he has this beautiful way of telling stories through his campaigns and collections. It was an incredible experience to work with such a creative team.'

Moving forward with the times and embracing new technological advancements that have itched fashion's curiosity in recent years, 10 of the Burberry Olympia bags will also exclusively launch on Farfetch with an immersive 3D experience. Encouraging customers to step into a virtual world, where you can experience all the latest designs in 3D, the Burberry Olympia bag will be showcased through a 360 degree view, thanks to an innovative 3D product viewer.

If you're looking for the perfect emblem to express your femininity and power in a world that can still very often seem to belong to men, the Olympia is calling your name.
