For Spring/Summer 2020, Carhartt WIP has collaborated with Awake NY on a 12-piece capsule collection, to bring Awake NY's New York sensibility to Carhartt WIP's utilitarian fare. This is the latest collaboration from the streetwear branch of the workwear company, Carhartt WIP having collaborated regularly with other brands, such as A Bathing Ape, APC, Comme des Garçons, Vetements, Junya Watanabe and skateboarder Pontus Alv's Polar Skate Co.

Awake NY was founded by skatewear company Supreme's brand director Angelo Baque and is known for capturing the unique cultural spirit of New York City, blending menswear, streetwear and nineties athletic style.

Inspired by vintage hunting gear, Carhartt WIP's Michigan Coat has been revamped with contrasting pockets and panelling. The capsule also includes a trio of contrast stitch hoodies, a trio of pocket T-shirts and a trio of beanies.

The capsule collection will be unveiled in Paris today Friday 17 January 2020 with a dedicated pop up at the Carhartt WIP store in Paris, followed by a drinks reception at the store and an invite-only after party. For everyone else, the collection is then set to launch tomorrow Saturday 18 January 2020 at select Carhartt WIP stores and global retailers, with limited amounts of product also be available from carhartt-wip.com and awakenyclothing.com.
