The luxury NFT (non-fungible token) marketplace neuno.io have announced an exclusive partnership with the Italian fashion brand Diesel, launching creative director Glenn Martens' S/S 22 Diesel 'Prototype' sneaker as a digital asset. Revealed during the NFT.NYC conference, the exclusive NFT giveaway will be the platform's first foray into fashion.

Only 5,000 of the assets will be available, and the announcement sees Diesel make a push for the trainer to gain traction as a cult item both IRL and URL - available to wear on the street (after testing them out by using neuno.io's AR try on experience powered by WANNA), and to own online, authenticated on the blockchain forever.

Diesel joins the wave of fashion brands getting involved in NFTs, including Burberry, Gucci and Louis Vuitton.

On Wednesday 23 November 2021, this story was updated with the news that the 'Prototype' NFTs will be created by digital fashion house The Fabricant. The IRL trainer is also now available at Diesel stores and online, will new colourways dropping early next year.
