Fashion and Beauty Sale in East London Raises Money for Ukraine & Myanmar
No plans this weekend? In London? Head down to The Workshop at One Hundred Shoreditch from 10-11 June for a must-see pop-up installation, raising funds for Ukrainian and Myanmar (also known as Burma). The London-based fashion label Delada have joined forces with Gabar, an emerging mind and body fragrance brand, to sell their wears at discounted prices all in the name of doing what we can to aid humanitarian crisis from afar.
First launching at MACHINE-A, Delada create unisex clothing which fuses contemporary streetwear and Russian heritage items. The designers behind the label grew up in the Soviet Union, and their fractured past informs their work. The support from these designers for Ukraine - with proceeds from sales at the pop-up to be split between a medical children's hospital in Kyiv and emergency medical support and humanitarian help to Odesa and surrounding areas - is a reminder that the current war is by and large, not upon the wishes of Russians.
Myanmar brand Gabar stand in solidarity with Delada, championing slow living, rituals and peace in their fragrance and beauty products. Sales will go towards Prospect Burma, a UK and Myanmar-based organisation that supports Myanmar's young people to gain higher education and skills, and financial aid to help the rebuild of Myanmar.
