Following their collaboration on the Givenchy Spring 2022 pre-collection, creative director Matthew M. Williams has created a series of airbrush graphics NFTs with Mexico-based artist Chito.

For the Givenchy Spring 2022 pre-collection, creative director Matthew M. Williams invited the Seattle-born, Mexico-based artist Chito to develop airbrush graphics and bring his artistic language into the Givenchy universe. The result? Luxurious backpacks, belts, handbags, bandanas and shirts were graffitied over in shades of black, white and grey – an affront to the notion that high-end fashion should be polished and spotless. The collection video saw male and female models stomping down a makeshift runway on empty train tracks, the sky grey and gloomy in the background. The sombre colour palette of the clothes made them perfect for a rainy day, as did their grungy, slouchy vibe.

Now, the pair have created a set of 15 unique NFT graphic designs. 'I’ve been wanting to explore this new and exciting space of NFTs,' says Williams. 'The fact that Chito is already active in the ecosystem made it feel even more natural for us to collaborate on this limited series and bring our collective vision for Givenchy even further.' Featuring the same prints used in the Spring 2022 pre-collection, the NFTs can be used by collectors as online avatars or PFPs (profile pictures). The auction from the works will support The Ocean Cleanup.

The Chito x Givenchy NFTs will go on sale on OpenSea on November 23rd, while you can shop the Spring 2022 pre-collection pieces here.
