Gucci are continuing to dominate the metaverse when it comes to luxury fashion, having been one of the first brands to fully embrace the possibilities of Web3. Under the guidance of Robert Triefus, CEO of Gucci Vault and Metaverse Ventures, their latest project takes place in Roblox in collaboration with Vans.
The virtual space Gucci Town first launched on the gaming platform Roblox in May 2022, and the Italian heritage brand's latest utterly modern activation sees a collaboration with Vans World. It is a celebratory extension of the Gucci Vault project Gucci Continuum, which underpinned by sustainable values and invites creative to reinterpret deadstock fabrics and archive pieces.
Gucci Town x Vans World invites Roblox players and community members to take part in a scavenger hunt set across the words which are connected by portals presented as shoe boxes. The aim is to collect fabrics and patterns to redeem for a shoe accessory or skateboard backpack for their avatars.
The Gucci Town x Vans World starts today and runs through May 13.
