For the pop-up's final stage, Gucci Circolo Shoreditch will fall home to the group exhibition Collective Processes, presented by HOME by Ronan Mckenzie.
Representing a variety of creative practices spanning photography, sculpture, painting, textiles and videography, HOME by Ronan Mckenzie's Collective Processes, housed at the Gucci Circolo Shoreditch pop-up space will present the work of black women artists Natasha Muluswela, Lorelle Aboagye, Chiizii, Sandra Daniel, Abena Lamptey, De'Anne Crooks, Merissa Hylton, Rayvenn D'Clarke, Kelly Jay, Tonique Sewell, Courtenay Welcome, Memunatu Barrie, Glory Samjolly, Rubee Samuel and Jo Sealy.
The exhibition comes as the third and final instalment planned for the multisensory temporary retail space, which opened its doors two months ago to celebrate the brand's 100th anniversary. To celebrate its final stage, the façade of the building has been reimagined with the artwork A New Love by artist and previous Gucci collaborator Joy Yamusangie - created as part of a collection of limited edition prints by LGBTQ+ artists curated by Russell Tovey for Pride 2021.
While many of the artists included in Collective Processes seek inspiration from all kinds of subject matter, the exhibition focuses on two major themes; history and observations in culture, allowing the artists to reach new heights in artistic expression as well as championing the spirit of one of HOME's core aims, to provide a new infrastructure for creativity.
As well as Collective Processes forming the third and final stage of the Gucci pop-up space, it also concludes a three-part partnership between the Italian luxury house and HOME; a partnership which first launched with the Armour exhibition, presented at Ronan McKenzie's physical art space in Islington London. What followed was Gucci announcing their support for HOME's second Black Women Artists Grant - comprising an offering of five grants to UK-based black women artists.
Collective Processes will be open from 10:00-18:00 GMT, Monday-Sunday and free to the public. The exhibition and Gucci Circolo Shoreditch will simultaneously close their doors on 21 December 2021.
