The 1017 ALYX 9SM Air Force 1 high top finally has a release date. This Saturday, 24 October at midnight, the black colour-ways of the limited edition trainer will become available for those quick off the mark- it's most definitely set to be a sell-out collaboration. Marking creative director Matthew Williams' birthday, it's certainly a time of celebration for the designer who made his debut at Givenchy earlier this month. However his new post doesn't mean Williams will be taking his eye off 1017 ALYX 9SM, the brand he launched in 2015, any time soon.

Following on from Williams' numerous collaborations with Nike, the 1017 ALYX 9SM Air Force 1 combines Williams' penchant for luxury craftsmanship and sportswear sensibility. The body of the iconic Nike trainer comes in a textured leather in two black colour-ways, one featuring the recognisable Nike Swoosh in white. Williams' now archetypal rollercoaster buckles- which he has gone on to develop across his work with Kim Jones at Dior mens and in his Moncler collaboration-feature on the trainer's front strap. 1017 9SM ALYX also makes its mark via it's logo, embossed in gold on the heel and also replacing the 'AF1' marking on the lace tags.
